The Fifth China International Cultural Industry Fair (ICIF) will open Friday May 15th 2009 at the Exhibition Center in Futian district in Shenzhen and run till the 18th of May. The aim of the exhibition is to showcase the cultural and creative industry. It is the only nation-standard international cultural fair. There are performances, gifts, art and lots more. The event is particularly interesting for domestic and international organizations and
individuals who are interested in the development of China’s cultural
industries, especially venture capitalists, strategic investors in
the cultural industries, cultural creative enterprises and
manufacturers and sellers & agents of cultural products. Expats can enjoy free admission.
Below you will find the different themes for the main halls of the center. Besides the main location, there are also several subveneus throughout Shenzhen.

performing arts. Forums on cultural industry. Live performances.
Hall 6 : Creative Design

achievements in creative design, including industrial design,
architectural design, package design, graphic design and fashion design.
Hall 7 : Press & Publication
Books,
audio and video, electronic publications. Release of new books,
meetings between authors and readers. Authors signing books.
Hall 8 : Gifts
Metal
and stones, carved and painted gifts, gold, jewelry, china, colored
glaze, embroidery, crystal and glass, rosin and batik gifts,
paper-cutting and weaving, bamboo and wooden gifts, antiques,
stationery, electronic gifts and toys.
Hall 9 : Arts & Crafts
State treasures and precious items. Various crafts such as embroidery, china and carvings.

Admission:
You can visit the the main venue of the fair free of charge by
registering at the right side of the entrance at the North gate of
Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, but only if you are able to give a namecard of your company. For everyone else the admission fee is 50 Yuan
